Tremaine Flash Mob Contest share
Dance Dynamics Performing Arts Center wins the Tremainiacs Flash Mob Award! Dancers, parents, teachers and community members all participated in a Flash Mob contest for the Tremaine Dance Conventions national event the summer of 2012. Hiller’s Market in Michigan were the supporters for this Flash Mob participation. DDPAC were announced as the winners of 50 full scholarships totaling up to $15,000.00 for future education with the Tremaine Dance Convention events.

National Dance Week!!! share
Is there a week to celebrate dance? We say yes!!! Well, every day we should celebrate dance!!
Actually… there IS a WHOLE week we can celebrate dance and how it impacts our life in such a positive way!! April 20-29, 2012 is National Dance Week. If you would like to get involved here at Dance Dynamics here is what you can do! We are celebrating our 30th year of making a positive difference in our community through the arts. We would LOVE for you to make a scrapbook page of your time here at Dance Dynamics and bring it in next week April 23-30.

May Dance Recital 2012
· Recital Dates: May 18,19, 24, 25 & 26
· Rehearsal Dates: May 15, 16 & 17
· Included in your Recital packet was your “yellow sheet” which is a guide for your personal schedule for shows and rehearsals. If you have any questions…Just ask. We are always happy to help you. All shows and rehearsals are held at South Lyon EAST High School.
· Ticket Orders are taken this month! Bring in your order envelope during any studio hours!
Dance Dynamics will be closed for Spring Break

Office Hours will be: Monday-Wednesday the 2nd – 4th from 10-7pm
Recital Costumes
· Just a reminder…recital costumes will be handed out if your account is current and the dancer is wearing a leotard & tights.
· Also be sure to try on your costume when it comes home in case you need to do any alterations. Most costumes will need alterations. There will be a costume information sheet in the garment bag which will give you details about your costume, hair and shoes.
Summer Opportunities ~ Register NOW!
· There are lots of choices from June to August. Classes are available for all Ages: 5 Week classes, week long and one day workshops, Musical Theater Camp (Act/Sing/Dance). WE HAVE IT ALL! See summer brochure for descriptions.
Order your recital gifts from “Recital Bears”
· Order forms are in your recital packets and bears can also be ordered online at www.dancebears.com.
· Deadline is April 18th.

Help us celebrate National Dance Week ~ Bring a Friend to the Celebration Party!
· All dancers are invited to a Super Fun End-of-The-Year Dance Party on May 4th at Dance Dynamics from 8-10pm. $5 per dancer. Dress up like a Hollywood star or come casual! We will learn the recital finale and parade dance, play games and boogie the night away. Bring your friends and family!
· Decorate your own 12×12 scrap book page….tell us why your LOVE dance and being part of our Dance Dynamics Family! Bring in the week of April 23-29!

Dressing Room Volunteers!
· If your child is in more than one show, it’s fun to be a Dressing Room Volunteer. Please pick up a volunteer form at the front desk. Volunteers work with a variety of kids in the show.
· Sign up by April 15th.
Parade Shirts
· Don’t forget to get your Memorial Day Parade shirt on sale now!
· Hurry before we run out! Details regarding the parade are in your information booklet!
Save Money! Get your recital ticket envelopes in this month.
· Envelopes and order information are in your recital information packet.
· April Pre-Sale tickets are discounted to current families.
· Please remember tuition for the season must be paid in full by April 30th (unless auto pay). We want you to be eligible for all discounts on tickets. Orders begin processing May 1st.
· Recital Packets were handed out to you in March.
Pre Dance Classes
· Don’t forget your special class will be May 12th at Dance Dynamics. Check your information booklet for exact times.
· If you want to do something super special, don’t forget to sign up for the Extra Show opportunity On Stage! The form was in your recital packet and is due before the end of April. The dancers have a great time performing in this show! Get a costume and come join the stage show!
· During the month of April, we will be video-taping your child’s Pre-Dance Class for their special show DVD.
Performing Class Dancers
· Fill out a new application for the 2012/2013 Dance Season. All previous performing class dances need to fill out the application to be reconsidered for our next season. Turn in applications by May 1st please.
Parent Viewing for Recital Classes April 23rd – April 28th
· Parents can view & video tape recital dances the last 5 minutes of class.
All final tuition is Due April 30th (except Auto Pay)

A fabulous group of our dancers are off to Los Angeles to represent the State of Michigan and Dance Dynamics at Dance Excellence 2012! Dance Excellence is a wonderful and motivatonal week of dance! There is a studio from each state and a few countries from all over the world. It truly is an outstanding week! Our dancers will also be representing us in a performance at Disneyland! We would like to wish safe travels and “Break a Leg” to all of our dance family headed to LA!!!

Variety Show
- Congratulations to all of our dancers in the Variety Show.
- Wow, it was really incredible! Making new friends, performing in the winter, learning new choreography, participating in a full show and learning so much in such little time was truly spectacular.
- Thanks to the parents for allowing your kids to join this celebration! It was a Dream Come True!

Performing Class Auditions
- Any student who is interested in being placed in a Performing Class next year can show their interest by filling out an application. Teachers will do evaluations during the months of April & May for future placements.
- Application fees are $5.00 to cover the complete evaluation process. Pick up your application at the front desk!
Company Auditions
- Our Company auditions are held March 10th.
- The parent meeting is Saturday, March 3rd at 3pm at Dance Dynamics.
- If your child is currently in a Performing Class and Team and they would like to audition for the Company, be sure to get an audition packet at the Welcome Center by March 5th. Company is the highest training level of
Dance Dynamics and is open to all students wanting to rise to the top quality of performance education.
Hip Hop Neon Party
- March 16th 8:00-9:00pm ~ $5.00/person
- Wear bright glow in the dark/neon colors. Bring your friends and show them how we get down!
- Sign up at the front desk or just show up. Dancing, Games and Treats!
Summer Studies at Dance Dynamics

Show Costumes

Walled Lake Schools Parenting Education Fair
- The 20th Annual Walled Lake Consolidated Schools Parenting Education Fair is set for Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Walled Lake Northern High School from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

- Our own Dynamic Dancers Performing Company will be performing for the daycare children!
Performing Class, Team and Company Events:
- Workshop & Adjudication: March 10th at South Lyon High School (11mile & Pontiac Trail) 2-8pm
- Dress Rehearsal: April 25 at Walled Lake Western High School stage, 4-8:30pm

Pre Dance Classes
- Their special class is Saturday, May 12th. Check your Recital Booklet, which will be handed out mid-March, for exact times. Pre Dance shows are held at Dance Dynamics.
- Pre Dance students also have an opportunity to perform in the stage show on Thursday, May 24th. There will be more information in your Recital Booklet.
Shoes
- Please remember that all dancers need the correct shoes to perform with their class. If you ordered shoes from us in the fall, then you most likely have the correct shoe.
- Shoes are starting to back order, so get yours on order now!
- Additional shipping fees will apply starting March 1st.
Ryan Steele performs in Newsies on Broadway share
Ryan Steele grew up at Dance Dynamics. He is a genuine guy who worked incredibly hard to develop his talent. Ryan comes from a family who supported him fully and trusted the Dance Dynamics process to help him realize his dreams. Now Ryan continues to inspire our students. We appreciate his continued dedication.
Ryan opens Newsies on Broadway March 29th, 2012. Ryan is the dance captain and plays the role of Specs.
